Help Us Tackle Homelessness in the Borough – Consultation on the draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and Action Plan.

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) is currently carrying out a public consultation on its draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and the associated Action Plan.

The Strategy and Action Plan sets out how EEBC intends to meet the needs of residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including rough sleeping over the next five years.

A review into homelessness in the borough has already been carried out in order to identify the extent of the issue, future trends and gaps in the current service.

The strategy outlines our strategic vision and the six key objectives we aim to achieve when addressing homelessness within the borough. It sets out our commitment to preventing homelessness at an earlier stage and how we will work with our partners across all sectors to develop an integrated approach to tackling homelessness and rough sleeping.

Delivery of the Strategy will be supported by an Action Plan, which sets out the actions to be undertaken and details how EEBC will achieve its aims and objectives.

The strategy and action plan will be open for consultation until 23 August 2022. We would welcome views and through this consultation we will use your comments to help us to refine the strategy and action plan.

Full details of this consultation and the draft Homelessness Review, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and the Action plan can be viewed below or https://epsom-ewell.gov.uk/council/consultations.

If you have any questions about this consultation or you would like a paper copy of the questionnaire please contact Annette Snell, Housing Solutions Manager - housing@epsom-ewell.gov.uk
